Memoirs of motherhood

I know how you feel because I feel it too.

Our aching to be close to them, even as we hold them.

The steady rushing of time beneath our feet. How months quietly turn into years, and our memories blur around the edges.

How this fragile now becomes

“when you were little…”

My Gympie and Sunshine Coast motherhood photography sessions are planned entirely around you. The moments you’ll want to remember, the pieces of your life you want to keep safe.

And it could be anything, anywhere. Maybe bathtime at home, or breastfeeding on the sofa. Perhaps a morning at the beach, or an evening in the fields.

Because really, the ‘where’ is just a backdrop.

These sessions are a chance for you to switch off, and be present. To make memories with them, to join them in the frame.

I’m not looking for perfection. And I don’t want to see some put-together thing you're not. I want to capture your connection just as it is- intimate, and instinctive; gentle, and raw.

So when I come, it’ll be with an open heart. Ready to capture you honestly, flaws, fragility and all. Ready to join you in these moments, so I can capture how they felt.

the process

1. Connect

Begin by reaching out through my contact form, sharing the vision that lives in your heart. This is where we begin to shape your vision into reality, setting the stage for a meaningful journey together.

2. Collaborate

If our paths align, you’ll receive a contract and invoice, along with a questionnaire. This will allow us to dive deep into your story and create a session that reflects your unique journey.

3. Create

The big day has arrived & the motto of the day is ‘connection over perfection’ How you enter the space whether you're relaxed, connected, and fully present will speak volumes in your images.

4. Curate

After the session, your private gallery will be sent directly to you, inviting you to explore the moments we’ve captured. You can select your favourite images, or if each photo speaks to you, opt for the entire collection.

5. Customise

Allow these beautiful photographs to fill the walls of your home forever, you’ll have access to a professional printing lab with your gallery platform to turn these visual memoirs into stunning prints that honour you and your family’s story.

I guide gently. I’ll give you soft direction, but I’m not here to manufacture moments. I’ll encourage you to move slowly, to hold your babies, to breathe them in. The rest unfolds naturally. It’s less about what it looks like, and more about how it feels.

Do you pose us?

They’re not meant to. These sessions aren’t about perfect smiles or still bodies. They’re about connection—how they cling to you, giggle, explore, melt into your arms. I create space for them to be who they are, without pressure. The chaos is part of the magic.

What if my kids don’t “behave”?

You don’t need to stress about outfits—I offer an extensive client wardrobe with timeless, earthy pieces for mothers and a small collection for children. Most clients visit me before their session to try things on and choose what feels best.

I typically start with what you are wearing and build the rest of the styling around that so everything flows naturally. You’ll also receive a prep guide to help you feel confident and aligned with the environment we’re shooting in.

What should we wear?

Anytime you feel the pull. These sessions aren’t tied to milestones—they’re about presence. Whether your babies are tiny or taller than you, this is about capturing the way your love lives in the everyday. I recommend booking early to secure your preferred date.

When should I book my motherhood session?

F&Q

As a Gympie motherhood photographer, my sessions can take place wherever the pull is strongest—whether that’s the stillness of the countryside, the salt and wind of the beach, the comfort of your own home, or even a hired studio if you’re after something more styled or intimate. We’ll choose a location that feels aligned with your story and the kind of presence you want to remember.

Where do motherhood sessions take place?

Yes I offer 30-minute motherhood mini sessions in Gympie all year round. These are designed for mothers with 1–2 children and are perfect for a slower, more focused experience.

Please note: these are not full family sessions. If you’d like to include your partner or additional children, a full-length session is the better fit. Mini sessions do not include access to the client wardrobe, but you’ll still receive a styling guide and support from me to help you feel beautifully prepared.
