Newborn photography on the Sunshine Coast

This isn’t about the place, it’s about the connection.

The love that washes through you, and flows without thought. A love so primal, it borrows from sadness, and shares a space with heartache.

It’s about capturing the things you’ll miss. Those dimples and wrinkles, those ocean-deep eyes. That skin-on-skin closeness as your body yields to theirs.

So never mind perfect. Just be. Be present, be vulnerable. Be here.

Soak in these moments, and let them stretch.

We’ll have our session in your home- your own space, your own routines, your own things.

I’ll knock on your door, we’ll hug hello. And for a little while, all you’ll have to think about is each other.

My sessions are unhurried, intentional, and entirely baby-led.

We’ll float slowly through the spaces, and embrace things as they come. I’ll give you some gentle guidance here and there, so you’re never lost or unsure.

But really it’s the in-between moments I’m looking for. The things you do without thinking, or bring told; the way you linger in the moments together. The connection that flows beneath.

Giving you photos where every image brings back a memory, a detail, a feeling. Inviting you to truly switch off, and catching this extraordinary normal before it flickers and fades.

the process

1. Connect

Begin by reaching out through my contact form, sharing the vision that lives in your heart. This is where we begin to shape your vision into reality, setting the stage for a meaningful journey together.

2. Collaborate

If our paths align, you’ll receive a contract and invoice, along with a questionnaire. This will allow us to dive deep into your story and create a session that reflects your unique journey.

3. Create

The big day has arrived & the motto of the day is ‘connection over perfection’ How you enter the space whether you're relaxed, connected, and fully present will speak volumes in your images.

4. Curate

After the session, your private gallery will be sent directly to you, inviting you to explore the moments we’ve captured. You can select your favourite images, or if each photo speaks to you, opt for the entire collection.

5. Customise

Allow these beautiful photographs to fill the walls of your home forever, you’ll have access to a professional printing lab with your gallery platform to turn these visual memoirs into stunning prints that honour you and your family’s story.

Yes - I do. If you’d love to document both seasons, I offer a combined maternity + newborn package with special pricing as a thank you for trusting me to tell your story in its entirety. It’s a beautiful way to honour both the anticipation and the arrival - two chapters that are deeply connected.

Do you offer a maternity and newborn package?

We can shoot outdoors if the weather and baby allow, or in the comfort of your own home for something more personal and calm. You’re also welcome to hire a studio if you’d like a neutral, styled space - we’ll work together to find what feels most aligned for your family.

Where do newborn sessions take place?

Most newborns are photographed between 1–4 weeks old, but I don’t believe in a strict window. Every baby is different. I follow their cues, and some of my favourite images have come from babies a little older even around 3+ months when they begin to stretch, focus, or smile. What matters most is that you feel ready.

How old should my baby be for the session?

That’s part of it. We pause. We feed. We settle. Newborn sessions are designed to move slowly and adapt to what your baby needs in the moment. You’ll never be rushed.

What if my baby cries or needs to feed?

You’ll receive a prep guide and full styling support leading up to your session. I also offer a curated client wardrobe for mothers, with a small collection of neutral baby and children’s pieces as well. Most clients visit me before their session to try things on and select outfits that feel right. I typically begin with what the mother is wearing, then build the rest of the styling around that.

What should we wear?

It’s best to book while you’re still pregnant - ideally in your second or early third trimester so I can pencil in your due date and keep some flexibility around your baby’s arrival. We’ll lock in the actual date once they’re here and you’ve had a chance to settle in.

When should I book my newborn session?

F&Q

My style is very natural and baby-led. I won’t wrap or pose your baby in artificial ways. Instead, I focus on connection—skin to skin, soft holds, the way they melt into you. These sessions are about presence, not performance.

Do you do posed newborn photography?

Newborn sessions are slow and baby-led, so I don’t offer mini sessions for this season. I want you to feel unrushed and held with space to feed, cuddle, settle, and just be.
